Rep. Jocelyn Pua-Tulfo (Party-list, ACT CIS) was the guest speaker during the flag raising ceremony of the House of Representatives Secretariat on Monday. In her speech, Tulfo said that prior to her election as party-list representative in Congress, she was just a plain housewife and little did she know that a huge task was waiting for her in the halls of Congress as an elected legislator. As part of doing public service, she recalled assisting complainants, who sought help from her husband Raffy Tulfo, through his Radio-TV program dubbed “Wanted sa Radyo.” She assisted the complainants while doing her daily house chores to serve her family. Now that she is a congresswoman, Tulfo said she is slowly but surely learning the tasks and responsibilities of crafting laws. Likewise, she must address not only the plight of her provincemates but also the problems of the many constituents of the ACT CIS party-list nationwide. Tulfo hails from Isabela province. She advised the House of Representatives Secretariat officials and employees to treat everyone as their own family. By doing this, she said the House officials and employees, when they render public service, can very well treat the people as their family with love and respect. / Caption by Joselito Menorca/ Photos by Gilbert Engay/ News and Documentation Section-Press and Public Affairs Bureau/ House of Representatives of the Philippines
