The House of Representatives honors 112 years of Philippine legislative history with an interactive multimedia exhibit launched on Monday. The exhibit features videos, sound recordings, documents, photos and artifacts on legislative milestones from as far back as 1907. Among its key features is a collection of voice recordings of inaugural speeches of House Speakers, privilege speeches of House Members, and plenary debates on selected legislative measures. In his speech at the launch of the exhibit, House Secretary General Atty. Jose Luis Montales said the exhibit is the first step to a dedicated museum in the House of Representatives that would extend to the public the chance to learn about the country’s legislative history. Deputy Secretary General of the Legislative Information Resources Management Department Edgardo Pangilinan said the exhibit was designed to give justice to the legislative history of the country. The exhibit is open to the public free of charge. It shall be part of all guided tours of the House.
